    KODIAK ISLAND BOROUGH MAYOR

  • I believe in putting the needs of our community at the forefront of borough policies. By listening to residents and understanding their concerns, I aim to cultivate a government that truly serves the people of Kodiak Island.

  • Core Challenges Ahead

Facing the Kodiak's future with clarity and purpose.

Economic Development and Revenue: Cultivate What's Possible

Reducing taxes alone won't solve our long-term needs. Kodiak needs a smarter approach—strategic investment in local assets, innovation, and new revenue streams that reflect our island's strengths.

Education and Workforce and Civic Training: Invest in our Archipelago's Future

Kodiak’s students and working adults looking at a career change deserve a world-class education close to home. As mayor, I will be a tireless advocate for fully funding our schools, ensuring teachers and staff have the resources they need, supporting post-secondary education and training opportunities, and protecting youth programs that build work ethic, civic-mindedness, and resilience.

Infrastructure and a Community of Resilience

From roads to housing, from healthcare to emergency services, we must invest in the systems that sustain and strengthen us. That means long-term planning—not short-term politics.

Leadership and Governance: Set the Tone, Do the Work

My philosophy of leadership is simple: show up, listen well, follow through, and maintain high expectations of myself and my peers. I believe local government should be respectful, accountable, and efficient—not driven by ego or ideology, but by a deep commitment to my neighbors.
